Someone nominated me and I do not want this
Write one line to icons@truthicons.com from any address. We remove it the same day, permanently, keep no record, and do not ask why or for proof of identity unless somebody contests the removal.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes. It is not vanity — for many people there is nobody else left who knows the full story. Self-nominations are verified exactly like any other.
Does the award come with money?
The monthly award does not. The annual PnyxAletheia prize will carry a financial award once its endowment is founded. Whether or not there is money attached, we always send the recipient a private list of organisations that can offer legal, financial and psychological support in their country.
What data do you keep?
Voter email addresses only for the month of the ballot, then deleted. Nomination details are kept while the nomination stands. Withdrawn nominations are deleted entirely. The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser.
